Abstract To analyze the changes of the levels of serum galectin 1 (GAL 1) and adrenocorticotropin releasing hormone (CRH) of women with endometriosis (EMS), and to study their diagnostic values. Methods: 84 women with EMS from January 2019 to December 2021 were selected in observation group retrospectively, and 84 healthy women who underwent physical examination were selected in the control group during the same period. The levels of serum GAL 1 and CRH of the women were compared between the two groups, and the factors affecting EMS occurrence of the women were analyzed. Results: The rate of dysmenorrhea history of the women in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the women in the control group. The levels of serum CRH (9.54±2.32 μg/L) and Gal 1 (12.34±2.45 μg/L) of the women in the observation group were significantly higher than those (4.05±1.23 μg/L and 5.17±1.24 μg/L) of the women in the control group (P<0.05). Binary logistic regression analysis showed that the serum CRH and Gal 1 of the women were the risk factor of their EMS occurrence, and the dysmenorrhea of the women were related with their EMS occurrence (all P<0.05). The sensitivity and the specificity of the combined levels of serum CRH and Gal 1 of the women for diagnosing their EMS occurrence were 89.3% and 76.7% , and which were significantly higher than those (86.5% and 57.7%) of the carbohydrate antigens 125 (CA125) level (P<0.001). Conclusion: The serum Gal 1 and CRH levels of the women with EMS are increased abnormally. The sensitivity and the specificity of the combined levels of serum CRH and Gal 1 of the women for diagnosing their EMS occurrence are better than those of the CA125 level, and which is beneficial to the implementation of early diagnosis of EMS.
