Abstract To observe the curative effect of laparoscopy combined with leuprorelin for treating infertility patients with endometriosis (EMS), and to study its influences on the levels of serum estradiol (E2), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) of the patients. Methods: The clinical data of 103 infertility patients with EMS and treated in the hospital between April 2019 and April 2022 were selected in this study. 52 patients who had been treated by laparoscopy were included in control group and 51 patients who had been treated by laparoscopy combined with leuprorelin were selected in experimental group. The total effect rate of treatment after surgery, the levels of serum FSH, E2 and AMH, and the levels of the serum tumor markers, such as carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125) and CA199 before and after surgery of the patients were compared between the two groups. The occurrence of complication and the rates of pregnancy and EMS recurrence after 1 year of surgery of the patients were also compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate (90.2%) of the patients in the experimental group in the 3rd month after surgery was significantly higher than that (73.1%) of the patients in the control group. The levels of serum FSH and E2 of the patients in the experimental group in the 6th month after surgery were significantly lower than those of the patients in the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the AMH level of the patients between the two groups (P>0.05). The serum levels of CA125 (21.64±4.36 U/L) of the patients in the experimental group were significantly lower than those (33.70±6.92 U/L and 35.48±3.22 U/L) of the patients in the control group (P<0.05). The pregnancy rate (86.3%) of the patients in the experimental group within 1 year after surgery was significantly higher than that (44.2%) of the patients in the control group, and the EMS recurrence rate (7.8%) of the patients in the experimental group was significantly lower than that (23.1%) of the patients in the control group (all P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications (9.8% vs. 5.8%) of the patients between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion: Laparoscopy combined with leuprorelin for treating infertility patients with EMS can significantly improve their curative effect, and levels of serum sex hormones and tumor markers, increase their pregnancy rate and reduce their recurrence, and with higher safety.
