Abstract To analyze the influences of Yiqiyangyin decoction combined with phloroglucinol for treating pregnant women with pregnancy induced hypertension (HDP) on their levels of serum high mobility group protein-1 (HMGB1), total antioxidant capacity (TAC) and malondialdehyde (MDA), and their delivery outcomes. Methods: From January 2021 to December 2022, 96 pregnant women with PIH were selected and were randomly divided into control group (48 cases with the treatment of phloroglucinol) and study group (48 cases with the treatment of phloroglucinol combined with Yiqiyangyin decoction). The efficacy, the levels of serum HMGB1, TAC, MDA and the lipid metabolism indicators, the blood pressure values, the adverse reactions rate and the delivery outcomes of the women were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate (95.8%) of the women in the study group after treatment was significantly higher than that (77.1%) of the women in the control group. The values of diastolic blood pressure, systolic blood pressure and mean arterial pressure of the women in the two groups after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment, and which of the women in the study group were significantly lower than those of the women in the control group. The serum levels of HMGB1 and MDA of the women in the two groups after treatment had decreased significantly, and which (1.85±0.47 mg/L and 23.56±3.56μmol/L) of the women in the study group were significantly lower than those (3.36±0.82 mg/L and 32.47±5.16μmol/L) of the women in the control group. The TAC level of the women in the two groups after treatment had increased significantly, and which (11.26±2.65 U/ml) of the women in the study group was significantly higher than that (9.24±2.03 U/ml) of the women in the control group. The levels of triglyceride, total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol of the women in the two groups after treatment had decreased significantly, and which of the women in the study group were significantly lower than those of the women in the control group. The high-density lipoprotein cholesterol level of the women in the two groups after treatment had increased significantly, and which of the women in the study group was significantly higher than that of the women in the control group (all P<0.05). The total incidence (8.3%) of the adverse pregnancy outcomes of the women in the study group was significantly lower than that (37.5%) of the women in the control group (P=0.001), and the total incidence of adverse reactions (6.3%) of the women in the study group was significantly lower than that (12.5%) of the women in the control group (P=0.484). Conclusion: Yiqiyangyin decoction combined with phloroglucinol for treating the pregnant women with PIH can control their blood pressure better, improve their oxidative stress and lipid metabolism, maternal and infant outcomes, and their HDP treatment effect, with higher safety.
