Abstract To analyze the relationship between the thyrotropin hormone (TSH) level in normal range of women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and their indexes of glucose lipid metabolism and insulin resistance (IR). Methods: The women with PCOS were selected in study group from January 2018 to December 2019, and the healthy women who underwent physical examination were selected in control group during the same period. The TSH level of the women was compared between the two groups. According to the serum TSH level, the women in the study group were divided into group A (women with TSH<2.5mIU/L) and group B (women with TSH 2.5-5.6mIU/L), and the values of glucose and lipid metabolism indexes and IR of the women were compared between group A and B. Results: The serum FT3 level of the women in the study group was significant lower than that of the women in the control group, but the TSH level the women in the study group was significant higher (all P<0.05). The serum FT4, TPOAb and TGAB levels of the women in the study group had no significant different from those of the women in the control group (P>0.05). The serum HDL level of the women in group B was significant lower than that the women in of group A, but the FINS level the women in group B was significant higher (P<0.05). The TC, TG, LDL and FPG levels of the women in group B had no significant different from those of the women in group A (P 0.05). The ISI level of the women in group B was significant lower than that of the women in group A, but the HOMA-IR value of the women in group B was significant higher (P<0.001). The GLU-AUC and INS-AUC values of the women in group B had no significant different from those of the women in group A (P>0.05). The TSH level was positive correlation with the FINS level or HOMA-IR value (P<0.001), and the TSH level was negative correlation with the ISI level (P<0.001), but the TSH level was no correlation with the HDL level (P>0.05). Conclusion: The high level of TSH in the normal range of the women with PCOS may cause their abnormal lipid metabolism and IR.
