Abstract To explore the stress response status of the women after two intrauterine devices (IUD) inserted post abortion immediately. Methods: 440 women with induced abortion were selected and were divided into control group (120 women without IUD inserted), group A (160 women with Ginny IUD inserted), and group B (160 women with HCu IUD inserted) from July 2017 to October 2019. The serum stress response indexes levels, such as cortisol (cor), malondialdehyde (MDA), adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), norepinephrine (NA) and angiotensin Ⅱ(Ang-Ⅱ) of the women in the three groups were measured at 30 min before operation (T0), 30 min after operation (T1), 6 h after operation (T2), 24 h after operation (T3), and 48 h after operation (T4), respectively. Results: There was no significant differences in the serum stress factor levels of the women at T0 among the three groups (P>0.05), and the serum stress factor levels of the women in the three groups at T1 were significant higher than those at other time (P<0.05). The levels of serum Cor, MDA, ACTH, NA, and Ang-Ⅱ of the women in group A and group B at T1, T2, T3, T4 were significant higher than those of the women in group C (all P<0.05), but those of the women had no significant differences between group A and group B (P>0.05). Conclusion: Two IUD inserted immediately after abortion will lead to the stress response of the women, but there is no significant different in degree of the stress response of the women between the two IUD, so both IUD should be paid more attention to in clinical practice.
