Abstract to investigate the influence of drospirenone and ethinylestradiol tablets (Ⅱ) used after abortion immediately on the bleeding pattern after abortion, complication rate, and the continuous using rate. Methods: 256 women in study group took drospirenone and ethinylestradiol tablets (Ⅱ) post abortion immediately and then were recommended for 6 months’ used, while another 249 women without drospirenone and ethinylestradiol tablets (Ⅱ) used were in control group. Results: The postoperative bleeding time of the women in the study group was significant longer than that of the women in the control group, the incidence of the menstrual volume reduction of the first postoperative menstrual recovery was significant higher than that of the women in the control group, and the cycle control of the women in the study group was significant better than that of the women in the control group (P<0.05). The incidences of residual, pelvic inflammation, and intrauterine adhesions of the women had no statistically significant different between the two groups. Only 105 (41.0%) women had completed 6 cycles of drospirenone and ethinylestradiol tablets (Ⅱ). The continued use rate of women with repeated abortion was significant lower (P<0.05). Conclusion: The application of drospirenone and ethinylestradiol tablets (Ⅱ) after abortion immediately has good menstruation cycle control and has not increase complications rate, but its continuation using rate decreases as time goes on.
