Abstract To investigate the effect of Diane-35 short-term used as pretreatment combined with high progestin primed ovarian stimulation (PPOS) regimen for treating patients with decreasing ovarian reserve(DOR) and different FSH levels and age. Methods: The clinical data of 247 patients with DOR treated by PPOS regimen from January 2015 to September 2018 were analyzed retrospectively. The women treated by Diane-35 short-term used as pretreatment combined with PPOS were in observation group, and the women treated by PPOS only were in control group. The women in the observation group and the control group were also divided into 4 groups according to their basal FSH level and age. The dosage of Gn used, the days of Gn used, the number of oocytes obtained, the number of embryos available, and the rate of high-quality embryos of the women were observed and compared among these groups. Results: The Gn dosage of the patients in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the patients in the control group (P<0.01). There was no significant difference in the number of retrieved eggs of the patients between the observation group and the control group (P>0.05). The number of available embryos of the patients aged 35-40 years old with basal FSH level >12 and ≤14 U/L in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the patients in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion:Diane-35 short-term used as pretreatment combined with PPOS regimen for treating the patients aged 35-40 years old with DOR and basal FSH level >12 and ≤14 U/L can increase the number of available embryos and can improve the ovulation induction outcomes of IVF.
