Abstract To study the improvement effect on neurotransmitter level and adverse emotion of estrogen and progesterone for treating women with perimenopausal syndrome. Methods: 90 women with perimenopausal syndrome were selected and were divided two groups (45 cases in each group) from January 2016 to June 2019. The women in control group were given routine treatment, and the women in observation group were treated with estrogen and progesterone. The clinical efficacy of the women in the two groups was analyzed. Results: After treatment, the total effective rate of the women in the observation group (91.1%) was significant higher than that (73.3%) of the women in control group. The levels of FSH, LH and NE of the women in the observation group were significant lower than those of the women in the control group, but the levels of E2, 5-HT and β-EP of the women in the observation group were significant higher. The scores of selfrating depression scale and perimenopausal quality of life scale of the women in the observation group were significant lower than those of the women in the control group (all P<0.05). Conclusion: Estrogen and progesterone for treating women with perimenopausal syndrome can regulate their sex hormones levels and neurotransmitters level, and can improve their adverse emotion and quality of life.
