Abstract To analyze the clinical efficacy of traditional operation and "Xiehe" pelvic floor reconstruction for treating women with uterine prolapse and renal dysfunction. Methods: A 168 women with severe uterine prolapse associated and renal dysfunction were selected as study subjects, and they were divided into observation group and control group by computer randomized (84 cases in each group). The women in observation group were performed "Xiehe" pelvic floor reconstruction, and the women in control group were performed conventional vaginal hysterectomy combined with posterior vaginal wall repair. The clinical efficacy and recurrence situation of women was compared and analyzed between the two groups. Results: The operative time, intraoperative blood loss, time of postoperative catheter retention and hospital stay of women in observation group were significant less than those of women in control group (P<0.05), and the total effective rate of women in observation group was significant higher than that of women in control group (P<0.05). The rates of postoperative recurrence and complication of women in observation group were significant lower than those of women in control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: "Xiehe" pelvic floor reconstruction for treating patients with severe uterine prolapse and renal dysfunction can effectively shorten the operation time, preserve the integrity of the pelvic floor anatomy and function, which can reduce the postoperative recurrence rate, so it is a significant and safe surgical treatment.
