Abstract To compare the effect of intrauterine placement of uterine balloon stent and saccule urinary catheter for preventing re-adhesion after hysteroscopic adhesiolysis of patients with moderate and severe intrauterine adhesion after hysteroscopic cold knife adhesiolysis. Methods: 80 patients with moderate and severe intrauterine adhesions treated by hysteroscopic cold knife adhesiolysis from June 2016 to October 2017 were divided into Group A and Group B randomly. The patients in group A received intrauterine placement of intrauterine balloon stent for preventing re-adhesion after surgery, while the patients in group B received intrauterine saccule urinary catheter for preventing re-adhesion after surgery. Their clinical effects were observed at 3 months after surgery, and the rate of re-adhesion were recorded at 1, 3 and 6 months after surgery, and the status of abdominal pain relieved and patients pregnancy within 6 months after surgery were compared between the two groups. Results: There was no significant difference in the clinical efficacy of patients between the two groups at 3 months after surgery (P>0.05). The incidence of re-adhesion of patients in Group A was 52.5%, which had no significant different from that(57.5%) of patients in Group B (P>0.05). There was no significant different in the rate of less abdominal pain and the pregnant rate between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion: For patients with moderate and severe intrauterine adhesions after hysteroscopic cold knife adhesiolysis, the clinical efficacy and preventive effect of readhesion by intrauterine placement of saccule urinary catheter or balloon stent is similar.
