Abstract To explore the effects of the group personalized intervention under the framework of information-motivation-behavioral skills (IMB) model for treating pregnant women with preeclampsia (PE) on their self-care ability and blood pressure. Methods: 200 pregnant women with PE were divided into two groups (100 cases in each group) by random number table method from March 2021 to February 2023. The women in the two groups were given routine nursing intervention until to give birth, and the women in the study group were given the group individualized nursing intervention under IMB model additionally. The self-care ability scale (ESCA) score, the negative psychology score evaluated by self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and the self-rating depression scale (SDS) score, the treatment compliance rate, the blood pressure control situation and the delivery outcomes of the women were compared between the two groups. Results: After intervention, the scores of the different dimensions of ESCA of the women in the study group were significantly higher than those of the women in the control group. The scores of SDS (42.55±4.28 points) and SAS (43.39±4.21 points) of the women in the study group were significantly lower than those (48.36±4.33 points and 47.57±4.36 points) of the women in the control group. The treatment compliance (94.0%) of the women in the study group was significantly higher than that (83.0%) of the women in the control group. The values of systolic blood pressure (127.6±7.5 mmHg) and diastolic blood pressure (93.5±4.3 mmHg) of the women in the study group were significantly lower than those (142.5±8.4mmHg and 104.6±5.5 mmHg) of the women in the control group. The adverse delivery outcomes of the women in the study group were significantly lower than those of the women in the control group (all P<0.05). Conclusion: The group personalized intervention under the framework of IMB model for treating the patients with PE can improve their self-care ability and treatment compliance, reduce their negative psychology, and which is conducive to their blood pressure control and improvement of their delivery outcomes, and improve the nursing effect.
