Abstract To analyze the value of ultrasonic indicators of pregnant women with fetal growth restriction for predicting their adverse pregnancy outcomes. Methods: 160 pregnant women with fetal growth restriction diagnosed and given birth in hospital from January 2020 to November 2022 were included in observation group. In addition, 160 normal pregnant women who underwent health examinations during the same period were selected in control group. The differences of the ultrasonic indicators of the umbilical artery, fetal middle cerebral artery and uterine artery of the women were compared between the two groups. In the observation group, the differences of the ultrasonic indicators of the umbilical artery, fetal middle cerebral artery and uterine artery of the women were compared among the women with different pregnancy outcomes. Receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve was used to analyze the ultrasonic indicators of the umbilical artery, fetal middle cerebral artery and uterine artery of the women for predicting their adverse pregnancy outcomes. Results: The values of pulsatility index(PI), resistance index(RI), and S/D of umbilical artery and uterine artery of the women in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the women in the control group. The values of RI, PI, and S/D of the fetal middle cerebral artery of the women in the observation group were significantly lower than those of the women in the control group. The values of RI, PI, and S/D of umbilical artery and uterine artery of the women in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the women in the control group. The values of RI, PI and S/D of the fetal middle cerebral artery of the women in the observation group were significantly lower than those of the women in the control group. The combined detection of the values of RI, PI and S/D of umbilical artery, middle cerebral artery and uterine artery of the women with fetal growth restriction for predicting their adverse pregnancy outcomes had higher predictive sensitivity(98.1%) and the area under the ROC curve(0.882), which were significantly higher than those of each indicator alone. Conclusion: The combined detection of the ultrasonic indicators of the pregnant women with fetal growth restriction for their adverse pregnant outcomes can effectively improve the predictive efficacy and the predictive sensitivity.
