Abstract With the development of assisted reproductive technology, more and more infertile patients chose this technology and got pregnant. The quality of oocyte plays an important role in determining the outcome of assisted reproductive technology. In this review, the theory system is summarized briefly by studying the basic theory and the latest research. The quality of oocyte gets worse with the age, and granulose cells influence oocyte by small molecular substance and reactive oxygen species. In addition, the different controlled ovarian hyperstimulation mode regulate the quality of oocyte through the hormone. And endometriosis influence oocytes and its subsequent development by changing the microenvironment.
