Abstract Objective: To explore the predictive value of villous trophoblastic artery flow indexes by color Doppler ultrasound for tocolytic therapy of pregnant women with early threatened abortion. Methods: From Jan.2014 to Jan.2016, 120 early pregnant women at 5-8 weeks of gestation had been treated in the first affiliated hospital of PLA general hospital were selected, and were divided into observation group(early threatened abortion,80 cases) and control group(normal pregnancy,40 cases). All included pregnant women were follow up to 16 weeks of pregnancy, then women in observation group were divided into tocolysis successful group(observation A group, 40 cases) and tocolysis failure group(observation B group, 40 cases). All pregnant women were given detection of progesterone(P) and beta human chorionic gonadotropin(βHCG) in serum, and were examined of villous nutrient artery by color Doppler ultrasonography. The peak systolic flow velocity (PSV), end diastolic flow velocity(EDV), resistance index(RI), and S/D of the nourishing artery were compared among the groups. Results: The level of P and βHCG in serum of women in control group was significant higher than that of women in observation A group, and the level of P and βHCG in serum of women in observation A group was significant higher than that of women in observation B group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in PSV among 3 groups(P>0.05). EDV of women in observation A group was significant higher than that of women in control group, and EDV of women in control group was significant higher than that of women in observation B group (P<0.05). The RI and S/D of women in observation B group was significant higher than that of women in control group, and the RI and S/D of women in control group was significant higher than that of women in observation A group (P<0.05). Conclusion: There are correlation between trophoblast artery hemodynamics indexes and prognosis of pregnant women with early threatened abortion, and monitoring trophoblast artery hemodynamics parameters by transvaginal color doppler ultrasound can provide the evidences for tocolytic therapy.
