Abstract To analyze the related risk factors of potential malignant for patients with postmenopausal asymptomatic endometrial polyps. Methods: One hundred and twenty patients with postmenopausal asymptomatic endometrial polyps who treated in the first people's hospital of Nantong city were selected as research subjects. According to pathological types, all the included patients were divided into precancerous lesions/malignant transformation group (patients had endometrial polyps with atypical hyperplasia or with endometrial cancer) and the benign group (patients had endometrial polyps only or with simple/complex hyperplasia), 60 cases in each group. The relevant indicators and polyp diameter of patients were compared between the two groups, and logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the related risk factors of potential malignant for patients with postmenopausal asymptomatic endometrial polyps. Results: The rates of polyp diameter ≥15mm, obesity, polyp diameter ≥20mm, and polyp diameter 15-19mm of patients in the precancerous lesions/malignant group were significantly higher than those of patients in the benign group, which had statistical significant difference (P<0.05). The indicators, such as obesity, hypertension, diabetes and polyp diameter ≥ 15mm were analyzed by multiple logistic regression. The result showed that polyp diameter≥15mm and obesity were the risk factors of potential malignant for patients with postmenopausal asymptomatic endometrial polyps (P<0.05). Conclusions: Polyp diameter≥15mm and obesity are correlated with potential malignant or malignant of patients with postmenopausal asymptomatic endometrial polyps.
