Abstract To develop an appropriate evidence-based intervention plan for the natural childbirth of primiparas, and to observe the application effect of the plan. Methods: The literatures search was conducted to gather the intervention evidences on the natural childbirth of the primiparas at home and abroad, and an evidencebased natural childbirth intervention program for the primiparas was developed. A total of 82 primiparas who attended the regular prenatal check-ups in the hospital were selected and were divided into intervention group (42 cases) and control group (40 cases) in July 2023. The primiparas in the intervention group were given the evidence-based intervention program, while the primiparas in the control group were given the standard intervention. The delivery outcomes and the delivery experience of the primiparas were compared between the two groups. Results: There was no significant difference in the natural delivery rate (90.5% vs. 82.5%) of the primiparas between the two groups (P>0.05). The amount of the postpartum bleeding (158±7.2ml) of the primiparas in the intervention group in postpartum 24h was significantly less than that (167±7.6ml) of the primiparas in the control group. The total score of delivery experience questionnaire (74.67±6.22 points), the emotional experience score (15.47±1.14 points), the physical experience score (14.52±1.01 points) and the delivery process score (15.47±1.32 points) of the primiparas in the intervention group were significantly higher than those (70.05±10.20 points, 14.05±1.24 points, 13.12±1.22 points and 14.05±1.52 points) of the primiparas in the control group (all P<0.05). Conclusion: Evidence-based intervention practices for the primiparas are beneficial for improving their postpartum recovery and their childbirth experience.
