Abstract To evaluate the value of color Doppler imaging combined with uterine artery blood flow parameters of women for diagnosing their uterine fibroids. Methods: 38 women with uterine fibroids who had been diagnosed and treated in hospital were selected in observation group, and another 65 women without uterine fibroids who had been physical examination were included in control group from January 2020 to March 2023. The ultrasonic uterine artery blood flow parameters of the women were compared between two groups. The value of the color Doppler imaging combined with the uterine artery blood flow parameters of the women in the observation group for diagnosing their uterine fibroids was assessed based on the pathological results of the women as the gold standard. Results: The ultrasonographic imaging of the uterine fibroids of the women in the observation group had the characteristics of the clear boundary, the low echo and the solid internal structure. The values of the uterine artery resistance index, the uterine artery pulsatility index, the uterine artery systolic blood flow velocity and the uterine artery diastolic blood flow velocity of the women in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the women in the control group (all P<0.05). The area under the curve, the sensitivity, the specificity and the accuracy of the ultrasonographic imaging combined with the uterine artery blood flow parameters of the women for diagnosing their uterine fibroids were 0.932, 86.8%, 93.8% and 90.3%, respectively, which were significantly higher than those of the ultrasonographic imaging or the uterine artery blood flow parameters alone. Conclusion: Color Doppler imaging combined with uterine artery flow parameters of the women for diagnosing their uterine fibroids has the higher sensitivity and specificity, and which increase the efficacy of uterine fibroids diagnosis.
