Investigation of the human papillomavirus infection screening and human papillomavirus vaccination used among women expecting to be pregnant |

Abstract To investigate the situation of human papillomavirus (HPV) infection of women expecting to be pregnant, and to analyze the influence factors of the women with HPV vaccination used. Methods: The cervical samples of 211 women who expected to be pregnant and had received health examination in hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were collected. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-reverse dot blot was used to type the HPV infected of the women. A questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate the status of the HPV vaccination used in these women, and the influencing factors of the HPV vaccination used of the women expecting to be pregnant was analyzed. Results: The overall HPV infection rate and the high-risk HPV infection rate of the women expecting to be pregnant were 22.7% and 81.25%. The subtypes of the main HPV infection of the women were HPV52 (18.8%) and HPV16 (10.4%). The infection rate of single HPV of the women was 20.6%, and the multiple infection rate of the women was 14.6%. The rate of HPV vaccination used of 211 women was 14.7%. The low education level and the ignorance of HPV vaccine were the influencing factors of the HPV vaccination used of the women expecting to be pregnant (P<0.05). Conclusion: The HPV infection rate of the women expecting to be pregnant was 22.7% in this survey, with the main infection subtypes of HPV52 and HPV16. The rate of HPV vaccination used of the women expecting to be pregnant is low, so the HPV-related health knowledge popularization should be strengthened, and the rate of the HPV vaccination used of the women should be increased.
