Abstract To explore the diagnostic value of serum axon guidance factor 1 (Netrin 1) and placental growth factor (PLGF) levels of pregnant women for their missed abortion during the first trimester of pregnancy. Methods: From March 2019 to March 2022, 62 pregnant women with missed abortion during the first trimester of pregnancy were selected in group A, 90 pregnant women with miscarriage during the first trimester of pregnancy were selected in group B, and 90 healthy pregnant women were selected in group C. Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay was used to detect the levels of serum Netrin 1 and PLGF of the women in the three groups, and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to evaluate the diagnostic value of the levels of serum Netrin 1 and PLGF of the women for their missed abortion during the first trimester of pregnancy. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to explore the risk factors of missed miscarriage of the pregnant women during the first trimester of pregnancy. Results: The level of serum Netrin1 of the women in group A, group B, and group C were 84.06±27.53 pg/ml, 134.13±36.25 pg/ml, and 186.54±58.62 pg/ml, respectively, which had increased gradually, and the level of serum PLGF of the women in group A, group B, and group C were 237.15±15.49pg/ml, 272.66±18.25pg/ml, 375.04±23.28pg/ml, respectively, which had increased gradually (all P<0.05). The results of ROC curve showed that the area under curve (AUC) of the serum Netrin 1 and PLGF levels of the women for predicting their missed abortion during the first trimester of pregnancy were 0.789 and 0.822, the cutoff value of which were 134.91 pg/ml and 294.95 pg/ml, the specificity of which were 53.3% and 67.8%, and the sensitivity of which were 91.9% and 91.9%. The AUC, the specificity, and the sensitivity of the combined of the levels of serum Netrin 1 and PLGF of the women for diagnosing their missed abortion during the first trimester of pregnancy were 0.911, 85.6%, and 85.5%, respectively. Multiariable logistic regression analysis showed that the history of miscarriage, and the low levels of serum Netrin low 1 and PLGF of the pregnant women were the risk factors of their missed abortion during the first trimester of pregnancy (all P<0.05). Conclusion: The serum Netrin 1 and PLGF of the pregnant women with missed abortion during the first trimester of pregnancy are lowly expression, and both of which can be used as the biological indicators for predicting their missed abortion. The diagnostic efficacy of the combined of the levels of serum Netrin 1 and PLGF of the women for their missed abortion is the highest.
