Abstract To investigate the evaluation of placental blood perfusion of the pregnant women with fetal growth restriction (FGR) by voxel incoherent motion imaging (IVIM). Methods: 31 pregnant women with FGR from January 20, 2019 to February 1, 2020 were selected in study group, and 31 pregnant women with normal fetal development and matched with the age and the gestational weeks were selected in control group. All the women in the two groups underwent multi b-value DWI imaging, and the slow diffusion coefficient D, the fast diffusion coefficient D*, and the diffusion coefficient F were measured by IVIM model. Results: The placental pseudo diffusion coefficient D* (20.37±6.34 mm2/s) and the perfusion fraction f (32.30%±4.17%) of the women in the study group were significantly lower than those (31.75±7.54 mm2/s and 23.66%±3.87%) of the women in the control group (P=0.001), There was no significant difference in placental diffusion coefficient D (1.68±0.26mm2/s vs.1.61±0.22 mm2/s) of the women between the two groups (P=0.64). Conclusion: The placental blood flow of the pregnant women with FGR can be observed by IVIM, which is helpful for early diagnosis of FGR.
