Abstract To explore the application timing of oxytocin during induction of labor by double-balloon of primiparas with full-term pregnancy. Methods: A total of 60 primiparas without comorbidities and complications who underwent regular obstetric examination and delivery in hospital were selected and were divided into group A (primiparas were given double balloon followed by oxytocin) and group B (primiparas were given double balloon and oxytocin in the same time) according to the random number table method from June 2019 to June 2020. The change of Bishop score and related delivery outcomes of the primiparas were analyzed and compared between the two groups. Results: There was no significant difference in Bishop score of the primiparas before induction of labor between the two groups. After induction of labor, the Bishop score of the primiparas in group B was significantly higher than that of the primiparas in group A (P<0.05). Among the 30 primiparas in group A, 7 cases were converted to cesarean section, and among the 30 primiparas in group B, 3 cases were converted to cesarean section. The first and the total stages of labor of the primiparas without converted to cesarean section in group B were significantly shorter than those of the primiparas in group A (P<0.05), and there was no significant differences in the incidences of labor-related complications of the primiparas between the two groups. Conclusion: The double balloons and oxytocin used in the same time for induction of labor of the primiparas with full-term pregnancy has better effectiveness.
