Abstract To investigate the effect of goserelin combined with laparoscopic surgery for treating infertility women with endometriosis (EMS), and to study its influence on their serum glutathione peroxidase (GSH-PX) and reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels. Methods: 86 infertility women with EMS were selected and randomly divided into control group (n=43) and observation group (n=43) between June 2017 and December 2018. The women in both groups were treated by laparoscopic surgery. The women in the control group were given mifepristone from the 1st day after postoperative menstrual cycle recovery, and the women in the observation group were additionally given goserelin acetate sustained-release implant except to the treatment of women in the control group. The women in both groups were treated continuously for 6 months and followed up for 12 months after the operation. The curative effect and pregnancy rate of the women in the two groups were evaluated. Results: 6 months after operation, the total effective rate of the women in the observation group was 95.4%, which was significant higher than that (76.7%) of the women in the control group (P<0.05). The levels of serum FSH, LH, E2, and ROS of the women in the two groups had decreased significantly after operation, and those of the women in the observation group were significant lower than those of the women in the control group (P<0.05), but the level of serum GSH-PX of the women in the two groups had increased significantly after operation, and that of the women in the observation group was significant higher than that of the women in the control group (P<0.05). The ovulation recovery time and menstruation recovery time of the women in
the observation group were significant shorter than those of the women in the control group (P<0.05). The recurrence rate (7.0%) of the women in the observation group was significant lower than that (30.2%) of the women in the control group, but the pregnancy rate (53.5%) of the women in the observation group was significant higher than that (25.6%) of the women in the control group 12 months after operation (P<0.05). Conclusion: The combination of goserelin and laparoscopic surgery for treating infertility women with EMS can reduce their levels of serum sex hormone and GSH-PX, increase their level of serum ROS, improve ovarian function, promote the rapid recovery of ovulation function, and effectively consolidate the surgical effect.
