Investigation the situation of knowledge-attitude-practice on cervical cancer screening of rural women in Haikou |

Abstract To investigate the situation of knowledge-attitude-practice on cervical cancer screening of rural women in Haikou area. Methods: 620 rural women in Haikou area were selected as the subjects by convenient sampling method. Questionnaires were used to investigate the general information of these women, their knowledge and behavior related to cervical cancer screening, and the relevant factors affecting their cervical cancer screening was analyzed. Results: The scores of knowledge, attitude, and practice on cervical cancer screening were 72.4±7.6 points, 80.7±10.2 points, and 61.5±18.7 points, respectively. As for cervical cancer screening, there were significant differences in the score of cognitive and behavior among women with different age, there were significant differences in the behavior score among women with different marital status, there were significant differences in the score of cognitive, attitude and behavior among women with different educational level, and there were significant differences in the score of attitude among women with different family income (all P<0.05). Age and education level were the influencing factors of cognition level of the women for cervical cancer screening, educational level and family income were the influencing factors of attitude level of the women for cervical cancer screening and age, marriage and education level were the influencing factors of the women for cervical cancer screening (all P<0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that there were positive correlations between cognition and attitude, cognition and behavior, and attitude and behavior of women for cervical cancer screening (r=0.336, 0.317, 0.169, all P<0.05). Conclusion: Rural women's knowledge, attitude and practice on cervical cancer screening are not ideal. Family income and education level are important factors affecting their knowledgeattitudepractice on cervical cancer screening.
