Abstract Combination sustained release contraceptive vaginal ring had listed in United states in 2001, which is a new contraceptive method. Although it is not been used in China, it has been used abroad for many years. Combination sustained release contraceptive vaginal ring is a long acting contraception including estrogen combined with progesterone, and its contraceptive effectiveness and clinical characteristics is similar to compound oral contraceptives. The users of combination sustained release contraceptive vaginal ring can take it into vagina or take out by themselves. This article focuses on the using method and security of combination sustained release contraceptive vaginal ring.
