Abstract Objective: With the initially established comprehensive evaluation index system of contraceptive methods, the Delphi method was used to adjust and radiate the comprehensive evaluation index system for intrauterine device (IUD). Methods: Based on the previous work, according to the principles of Delphi method, we consulted family planning, epidemiological, gynecological and obstetrical experts who were authoritative in their respective fields. After two rounds of consulting, we concluded the feedback opinions and calculated relevant parameters. Finally, the comprehensive evaluation index system of IUD was adjusted and radiated. Specialistscore method and Satty's score weighting method were adopted to determine the weight of each index. Results: With 3 firstlevel indicators, 6 secondlevel indicators, 20 thirdlevel indicators and weighty for each indicator, the comprehensive evaluation system for IUD was established. Compared with initial system, the amount of indicators wasn't changed. But the weighty, the secondlevel and the thirdlevel indicators were adjusted and radiated significantly. Conclusion: Adjusted and radiated by Delphi method, the comprehensive evaluation index system for IUD can be used to evaluate IUD methods.
