| Clinical effect of the combination of ergometrine maleate and capecitabine for preventing the postpartum hemorrhage of women after cesarean section |

Abstract To investigate the clinical effect and the safety of ergotrine maleate combined with carbetin for preventing the hemorrhage of women after cesarean section. Methods: A total of 98 pregnant women who wanted cesarean section were included and were divided into control group (49 cases with the treatment of carbetocin) and study group (49 cases with the treatment of ergocline maleate and carbetocin) by random number table method from January 2022 to April 2024. The incidence of the postpartum hemorrhage and the amount of blood loss at different time point after cesarean section, the values of fibrinogen, thrombin time and prothrombin time, and hemoglobin level in 1d before cesarean section and in 1d after cesarean section, the adverse reactions rate, the maternal treatment satisfaction of the women were compared between the two groups. The women in the two groups were followed up for 1-month after discharge. The self-rating anxiety scale (SAS), the self-rating depression scale (SDS) and the quality of life scale (SF-36) were used to evaluate the maternal anxiety and depression. Results: The incidence of the postpartum hemorrhage (18.4%) of the women in the study group after cesarean section was significantly lowers than that (38.8%) of the women in the control group. The amount of bleeding of the women in the study group at postoperative 2h (189.7±10.7 ml), 12h (252.4±7.6 ml) or 24h (329.7±7.3 ml) was significantly less than that (224.5±9.6 ml, 349.6±8.6 ml or 453.9±8.5 ml) of the women in the control group. The values of the blood fibrinogen, thrombin time and prothrombin time, and the hemoglobin level of the women in the study group in 1 day after cesarean section were significantly better than those of the women in the control group. In 1 month after discharge, the scores of SAS (40.23±6.23 points), SDS (42.19±7.23 points) and SF-36 (89.62±3.16 points) of the women in the study group were significantly better than those (49.65±8.52 points, 51.25±9.45 points and 84.23±2.75 points) of the women in the control group (all P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of the adverse reactions (6.1% vs. 4.1%) of the women between the two groups (P＞0.05). The treatment satisfaction rate (95.9%) of the women in the study group was significantly higher than that (81.6%) of the women in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The combination of ergotrine maleate and cabetin to prevent the postpartum hemorrhage of the women has good clinical effect, which can improve the maternal coagulation function, reduce the maternal amount of blood loss and can better improve the maternal mental state and quality of life, and with the less side effects of the treatment and the higher satisfaction.
